Jack White az idei Record Store Day alkalmából április 19-én (a Neil Younggal felvett A Letter Home feldolgozáslemez kiadásával egy időben) egy világrekord tempójú akcióval mutatta be a világnak második szólóalbuma címadó dalát, most pár nappal az album megjelenése előtt pedig a szóban forgó Lazaretto klipje is megérkezett a francia Jonas & François rendeződuótól, mely korábban a Justice (D.A.N.C.E.), a Muse (Undisclosed Desires), a Depeche Mode (Peace), Madonna és Justin Timberlake (4 Minutes) számára is készített már fifikás videókat. A lazaretto szó amúgy járványkórházat, leprakórházat, karantént jelent, általában szigeteken, ahol a hajón érkezett beteg utazókat tartották, nehogy fertőzést vigyenek a szárazföldre (Lázár egy leprás koldus volt Jézus egyik példabeszédében, a híresebbik bibliai Lázár pedig az a betániai férfi, aki súlyos betegségben meghalt, de Jézus feltámasztotta).
